Penn 525 SuperMag Xtra
The 525 SuperMag Xtra is a little more radical than the SuperMag. This has a completely new mag set up with even more variable braking. The big difference in this reel is the mag control system. Designed and manufactured in the UK, the new side plate sports a ratcheted wheel that controls a new magnet carrier. This gives an increased range of travel, resulting in a much more refined and ‘tuneable’ braking system.
New ABEC 5 Ceramic hybrid bearings for top-level performance. The sheer cranking power housed in this tiny reel is unbelievable. You can crank three dogfish or a double figure cod through some serious kelp with this little powerhouse, no problem. And if you need to cast a bait over the 200-yard mark to reach fish on shallow ground, then you only have to ask this reel and it will oblige.
Powerful HT-100 multi disc drag system and awesome Verso-drag, protected by a special collar to seal out contaminants. A roller bearing provides one way anti-reverse that eliminates handle kick back.
