Affordable, easy to use fishing rods that are suited to the most common aspect of sea angling in the UK today. Hence the name!   A 6oz lead and some bait.

These rods have taken a considerable amount of time and prototyping to perfect; due the fact that these rods have not only got to be easy to use and substantial enough to stand up to the rigors of modern sea angling, but they also had to be affordable. Anyfish Anywhere understand that there are thousands of anglers out there that would love to buy one of their standard range of rods, but spending over £200 on any rod may just not be possible.

So the new six&bait range starts at just £129.99 for the 12’ Six&bait, and only goes up to £139.99 for the 13’ version. Both of these rods are available in both dedicated fixed spool or multiplier versions and the blanks are slim, light and two equal sections.

So what makes these new rods so different from others at this price point? To put it simply, because experienced and respected anglers designed them!  They fish week in week out, throughout the year, and that means that they talk to anglers from all over the UK and have been able to pick their brains about what they wanted or needed from a mid price beach rod. This rod differs to the 13ft version and not just because it’s longer, (hence the name Big Beach). Does that extra foot make a difference?

In the past it made a big difference. Fourteen-foot rods used to be bigger, stiffer, manlier type jobs; rods for big hitters and heroes. But they were always a pig to use. This one, on the other hand, isn’t. It not only has a ‘fishing tip’, but it’s combined with a reserve of power when you really need it.

So, if it’s a nasty day with the elements in your face and you need to up the power, go for it. If it’s a beautiful day, wind behind you and the sea’s flat as a dab, then let the rod do the work.

This is a proper beach rod, for proper beach fishing, just with lighter leads. So why did we call it a surf rod, and not a ‘Bass’ rod?  Well, it actually has got something to do with surfers. In the UK all surfers like big flat clean beaches. No rocks, no boulders and no reefs. Now funnily enough, there are also a lot of UK fishes that also like clean flat sandy beaches, with a bit of surf running to move the sand around exposing all those nice choice worms, shrimps and eels that live there.
