Gemini Breakout Leads

The unique design of the Gemini breakout sinker has distinct advantages over conventional break-out grip sinkers, other than the inter-changeability of the heads. Because the nose cone places the grips in front of the mass of the lead sinker, this alters the centre of gravity, bearing greater pressure on the grips into the sea bed.
To test this, place a Gemini sinker alongside a conventional style sinker of equal weights, then, in turn, place your finger on the nose cone and push backwards.

The unique Gemini Design allows the four individual grips to be preciseley tensioned on the extremely hard wearing plastic head. The Gemini sinker will be noticeably harder to push.

Gemini Breakout Flatback Leads

Although only recently released, the NEW Gemini Flatbacks are already being seen as the sinker for distance casting, bait protection and gripping reliability.
Using a short tail wire, the baited hook is held close to the sinker, with less drag during the cast and giving excellent protection on impact. With the proven Gemini breakout head, the short sinker sits under the grips, applying great downward pressure, giving an excellent range of gripping power, controlled by tensioning the grips themselves. What is a DVice....?

A DVice is a cleverly designed casting weight. As well as casting a very long way it has the capacity to carry your hookbait, large or small, completely protected from the rigours of casting and with the ultimate streamlined delivery. Which in fishing terms, means you get to present a perfect bait a very long way!!

This is acheived by the addition to the lead head of a toughened tube into which you insert your hookbaits. The lead head part of the DVice has some cleverly designed channels (seventeen years in development) which on impact with the water allow the contents of the tube (your hookbaits) to be gently released by the flow of water through the tube.

Fast Drop Leads - Fish / Torpedo-shaped plain lead pirks

Sizes available: 12oz, 16oz, 18oz & 24oz.

Just as their name suggests, these pirks get down there very quickly. They are extremely popular and effective in the North East of England, taking good catches of both cod and ling. Yes, you can add split rings and a treble hook as with most pirks, but they are normally set-up a little differently.

Try hanging a couple of size 6/0 or 8/0 O'Shaugnessy hooks off the bottom loop, on something like 50lb Cordolene, so that they hang below the lead by 2 - 3 inches. Some people prefer to use four hooks, but we find you are just as successful with two hooks and less likely to get snagged. Some also like to hang another hook from the top loop but this can tangle in your main line or trace.

Often referred to as "Whitby Rippers", fished along with a string of Hokeyes or other lures, they can be Oh-so effective!

Norwegian Lead Pirk
